I started listening to country about ten years ago and this era is what I heard first and will die with. The so called country now a days is bullshit. It’s all about drinking and hanging out in your pickup truck. This was real life storytelling said through a song. I love listening to Waylon. He’s so honest and sincere when he speaks. I’ve always been fascinated with him and Elvis. There was something about those two that I just found extraordinary.

It’s crazy that he is only two months sober here.
